EIBA / EIASM Doctoral Tutorials

In 1987, the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) and the European International Business Association (now Academy) (EIBA) launched the idea of a Doctoral Tutorial in International Business. Since then, these tutorials are organized each year in conjunction with the EIBA Annual Conference. From 1987 to 2004, the Doctoral Tutorial was organised and chaired by Daniel Van den Bulcke (University of Antwerp). Since 2004, John Cantwell (Rutgers University) and Udo Zander (Stockholm School of Business) have been in charge.

The main objective of the EIBA / EIASM Doctoral Tutorial is to provide an opportunity to young doctoral students in the field of International Business so that they can discuss their research plans and their work-in-progress with a distinguished international faculty as well as with their fellow students. A secondary purpose is to acquaint them with an international network of people, all working in the field of International Business. Every year, the best thesis proposal that is presented at the Tutorial is awarded a money prize.
